Bio

Jennifer Pitson (Jen) has been working for Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center since 2004 and has been certified since 2002. She is currently a licensed Athletic Trainer for the University of Northwestern Ohio, starting in 2013. She covers Women’s Soccer, Men’s & Women’s Basketball and Men’s and Women’s Bowling. Also, while working for Mercy Health, the previous nine years prior to joining UNOH, she provided coverage for Lima Senior High school.

Pitson graduated from Lima Central Catholic High school and went on to Defiance College in Defiance, OH, to obtain her Bachelor of Science in Wellness/Corporate Fitness with a minor in Sports Medicine. During those four years, she played for the women's basketball team, was a member and representative of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes to the Student Government, and graduated Magna Cum Laude. She then went on to Valparaiso University in Valparaiso, IN to acquire her Master of Science degree in Sport Management. At Valpo, she covered football, women's soccer, and softball.

Upon completion of the graduate assistant program she found herself back home in Lima, OH. Since she began at Mercy Health - St. Rita's, she has become an American Heart Association CPR, AED & First Aid Instructor and a member of the Professional Standards team which plays leading role in Spine Board annual review. She was the WHAC AT of the year in 2020.
