Bio

Erica has been a practicing certified athletic trainer since 2009 and began working at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center in 2014. She has been providing coverage at UNOH since 2014 where she covers Volleyball, Men’s & Women’s Tennis and Men’s & Women’s Golf, and Softball.

Anderson is a native of Wapakoneta and graduated in 2005. Erica earned her bachelor of science in athletic training from Wilmington College (WC) of Wilmington Ohio in 2009.  While at WC she was active on the swim team, sports medicine leadership council, and served as an athletic training tutor and supplemental instructor. Upon completion of her bachelors, Erica moved to Bowling Green, Ky to pursued her Masters of Science at Western Kentucky University (WKU). In 2010 she completed her masters in Physical education with an emphasis in exercise science. While at WKU Erica also served as intern athletic trainer providing coverage for men's and women's swim and dive, as well postseason season women's soccer and preseason softball. After her time at WKU Erica moved to Columbus, OH where she worked for the Ohio Orthopedic Center of Excellence (now Ortho One) in the Ohio therapy institute as a licensed athletic trainer. After a year in the rehabilitation setting, Erica moved to Wichita, KS where she began a three-year stint with Friends University as an athletic trainer and adjunct professor.

Erica serves as an American Heart Association CPR, AED & First Aid instructor and works on the outreach committee at the hospital along with other athletic trainers. She is the WHAC Vice Chair and the 2022-2023 WHAC athletic trainer of the year.
