LIMA, OH - UNOH volleyball fended off a pesky Lourdes team Wednesday night dominating at the net in a 3-1 win.
UNOH took set one 25-20 and set two 25-19 before Lourdes stole the third in extra points 27-25. The Racers jumped out early in game four and led wire-to-wire to finish off the night 25-16.
Gianna San Filippo led all players with 20.5 points hitting .345 with ten kills on 29 attacks and no errors. San Filippo also led the Racers' record setting performance at the net logging her own individual mark of 15 block assists, topping the previous record of twelve that stood since 2010 (Meagyn EnYart). Abigail Martin finished with ten kills, Aliyah Saylor and Hannah Colquitt each recorded eight, and Shamyria DuBose added seven. Taylor Reust tallied eight block assists, tied for the program's fifth most all-time and one off her career best, with DuBose chipping in seven.
Savanna Reed finished with 22 assists and nine digs while Madelyn Hampton recorded her fifth double-double with 17 and ten. Defensively, Bailey Gregory increased her WHAC lead in digs per set adding 24 on the night moving her season average to 5.12.
As a team, UNOH racked up 40 block assists (30 - 2012) and 22 total blocks (20.5 - 2019) both topping the program's previous records.
The Racers remain home on Saturday hosting a tri-match with Defiance and (RV) Cumberlands beginning at 12:00 PM.
