LIMA, OH - After battled to extra points in the first game of the night, UNOH found themselves chasing Indiana Tech in the next two taking a 3-0 loss to the Warriors.
The Racers jumped out to a 8-1 lead to start the night and kept Indiana Tech at arms length through most of the set. The Warriors used a 7-2 run to tie the game at 18 but UNOH kept the momentum going back up 22-20. After a timeout, Indiana Tech rattled off four straight to take the first set-point of the match. UNOH fought back to 24-all and the teams began trading points. After the Racers earned their third set-point, the Warriors scored the final three stealing the first game of the match.
Indiana Tech carried their momentum into game two going up 8-0 out of the gate. Seven points was as close as UNOH would get as the Warriors took a 2-0 lead. The Racers looked like they were back in form in game three taking a 4-1 lead to start. Indiana Tech tied the match at 8-8 running the lead up to 16-12. UNOH kept it close but couldn't close the gap falling 3-0.
Abigail Martin led the team with 13.5 points coming off twelve kills, a service ace and a block assist. Logan Thomas finished with 13 points recording ten kills with two block assists, one solo block and one ace. Savanna Reed scored 24 assists with Aubree Ricketts leading the team with 18 digs.
UNOH has six days to prepare for their next match which will take them up I-75 to face Lourdes next Wednesday, September 13.
