
Tatur Repeats as WHAC Player of the Week
For the second week in a row, Northwestern Ohio's Margarita Tatur has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Women's Tennis Player of the Week after going 7-1 over four matches.
Tatur's only blemish came in her first match of the week losing third line doubles 4-6 to No. 3 Lindsey Wilson on Tuesday. After that loss, Tatur picked wins in all four of ther singles matchups as well as the next three doubles. She rebounded 6-2, 6-2 in singles against the Blue Raiders before taking No. 1 doubles 6-1 and No. 6 singles 6-2, 6-1 versus No. 23 Arizona Christian on Wednesday. The freshman coasted to another doubles win, 6-0, against Goshen on Thursday finishing off sixth line singles 7-5, 6-1 before ending the week with a 6-2 doubles victory and a hard fought singles win, 1-6, 6-2 [10-5], against NCAA DII Hillsdale Saturday.
Tatur is now 9-1 in singles played this season and 7-3 overall in doubles.
