LIMA, OH - When two of the league's top goal scoring teams met on Wednesday, it was the defenses that stole the show holding each other off the scoreboard for the full 90 minutes.
No. 25 UNOH entered the day averaging almost four goals a game and leading the WHAC with 49 this season. Siena Heights averaged three goals per game and sat third with 44. Despite the offensive prowess of the two, the Racers were able to hold the Saints to just three total shots but couldn't beat the keeper on the other end. UNOH put seven of 15 shots on target but were denied seven times by the Saints' keeper and twice by the post.
Sophia Eisner (7-3-3) was needed to make just one save over the 90 minutes of play to earn her fifth solo shutout and eighth overall.
The Racers hit the road for the last time in the regular season next Wednesday, taking on Indiana Tech at 6:00 PM.
