DEARBORN HEIGHTS, MI - UNOH scored one in the first half and two in the second while holding UM-Dearborn off the board in a 3-0 win on the road Wednesday night.
UNOH poured on the shots early and often but could only get one goal in the first half coming from Natalia Lima in the 22nd minute. That score held as the lone goal until the 60 minute when Janne Frauenpreiss put the Racers up two. Less than a minute later, the Wolverines had a chance to get one goal back on a penalty kick but were denied twice by Sophia Eisner to preserve the clean sheet. Lima notched her brace in the 79th minute after an initial save by the UMD keeper finishing on the rebound to cap the night.
Sophia Eisner (6-3-2) earned her fourth solo shutout of the season and sixth overall making four saves over 90 minutes.
The Racers return home Saturday to take on Cornerstone at 1:00 PM followed by the men's team at 4:00 PM.
