DEFIANCE, OH - After a defensive struggle in the first half, UNOH women's soccer netted seven times in the second to run away from WHAC newcomer Defiance, 8-0.
Minni Laukka was responsible for the lone first half goal for the Racers coming from the top of the box in the 37th minute. Chloe Fecher scored the first second half goal in the 51st minute followed by Jasmin Tadina in the 57th and Rhiannon O'Looney in the 66th, all four assisted by Nanna Rosengreen. Celia Catalan Keck added on in the 68th minute and Chloe Fecher netted her brace in the 77th, giving Rosengreen her fifth assist of the day matching the program record (Taryn Pardoe - 2013). Mathilda Berg Karlsson and Marie Roman capped the final two goals for UNOH finishing off the match 8-0.
Sophia Eisner (5-2-2) played the first 45 in front of goal to pick up the win and Silje Eikeland finished the second 45 but neither was need with the Racers not allowing a single shot in their third straight shutout.
The WHAC's top two team's will battle to stay unbeaten and take outright control of the conference on Saturday with UNOH traveling to Grand Rapids to face No. 4 Aquinas.
