Eisner Earns WHAC Defensive POTW Honors

Northwestern Ohio goalkeeper Sophia Eisner has been named the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending September 8 it was announced Monday.

Eisner picked up her first career player of the week award after a dominating performance in a scoreless draw against No. 17 Marian. She made a total of six saves that included several one-on-one opportunities and a rare double on a penalty kick that preserved the clean sheet. The Knights were averaging almost four goals a game before being shutout by Eisner.
