LIMA, OH - UNOH women's soccer wrapped up a three-game home stretch Saturday, September 7 with a matchup against No. 17 Marian. Neither team could find the back of the net through 90 minutes of play resulting in a scoreless tie and a clean sheet for both teams.
The potent Marian Knights entered the day averaging almost four goals a game through five played this year. Thanks to strong defensive work on the backend and a dominating performance by Sophia Eisner in front of goal, the Racers handed the Knights their first shutout of the season.
Eisner (1-1-2) finished the day with six saves over 90 minutes played, highlighted by a dazzling double save on a penalty kick in the 59th minute that preserved the clean sheet.
The Racers will wrap up their non-conference schedule with a road trip to Mount Vernon Nazarene on Wednesday, September 11 before opening WHAC play at Madonna next weekend.
