LIMA, OH - The UT-Southern Firehawks visited Racer Stadium on Sunday, September 3, and proved too much for the Racers taking the match 2-0.
Chances were at a premium for UNOH as the Firehawk defense held them to just seven total shots without any on goal for the full 90 minutes. Despite the onsidedness of the scoreboard, the game remained scoreless at halftime with UNOH working to keep a potent offense at bay. UT-Southern finally broke through in the 52nd minute with the knockout blow coming late in the 84th.
Mireia Queralt (0-1-1) got her first start of the season and made five saves to keep the scoreline respectable for the Racers.
St. Francis (ILL.) will be the next opponent for UNOH when they host the Fighting Saints at Racer Stadium on Saturday, September 9. 1:00 PM kickoff.
