Binyahya Finishes Third to Lead Racers at Patriot Invite

LONDON, KY - UNOH women's golf competed at the Patriot Invitational March 31-April 1 and were led again by Senior Sharifah Binyahya who earned her sixth top five finish in seven tournaments this season.

It was a difficult field at the Crooked Creek Golf Club with No. 5 Lindsey Wilson taking the top spot ahead of host No. 16 Cumberlands. The Racers scored 353, 349 and 357 for a tournament score of 1059. Binyahya finished in a tie for third place in a field of 35 carding rounds of 77, 79 and 78 for a 234 total. Kudzai Mandava come in at 18th shooting 257 with scores of 85, 85 and 87.

Kayla Watkins scored 272, Kenadie Daeger shot 301 and Riley Daeger rounded out the team scoring with a 306. Grace Weikle played as an individual in the tournament scoring a 401 over the three rounds.

UNOH will head to Ottawa for their next tournament playing at Moose Landing Country Club for the Yellow Jacket Intercollegiate hosted by WHAC newcomer Defiance on Friday and Saturday, April 4-5.
