
Jayci Allen and Alysia Lawson Lead All-Conference Honors
The Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) has released the 2024-25 women's basketball season honors with UNOH picking up the WHAC's Newcomer of the Year award with two first team all-conference players for the first time in program history and four landing all-academic honors, the most since 2015-16.
Jayci Allen becomes just the second Newcomer of the Year for the program and first since 2017-18 while also earning First Team All-WHAC and All-Defensive Team, the program's first since 2018-19. Allen is second in the WHAC in total rebounds (255) and rebounds per game (8.8) posting nine double-doubles with six coming since the start of January.
Alysia Lawson earned her second First Team All-WHAC honor after leading the conference in scoring with 716 total points and averaging 25.6 points per game, both program records. Lawson scored 20 or more points in 22 of 28 games this season hitting 30+ six times.
Ana Montero Sanz and Marta Gateva both landed their second WHAC All-Academic honor with Alycia Patterson earning it for the first time. Olivia Thompson also picked up her first academic award while being named to the Champions of Character team for the second straight year.
