Jayci Allen Picks Up First WHAC Player of the Week Honor
For the first time in her career, Northwestern Ohio's Jayci Allen has been honored as the Wolverine-Hoosier Athletic Conference (WHAC) Defensive Player of the Week.
Despite two tough losses, Allen put together her best week of the season posting back-to-back double-doubles to average 15 points and 12.5 rebounds per game. She scored 19 points in an overtime loss to (RV) Indiana Tech on Wednesday and followed up with eleven against Concordia on Saturday. Allen pulled down twelve defensive rebounds in each game and 25 total boards for the week. Her defense extended to more than just the glass as she swiped five steals and blocked three shots over the two games.
