DEARBORN, MI - UNOH women's basketball coasted to their 18th win of the season Saturday afternoon taking down UM-Dearborn, 81-58.
For the second time this week, UNOH gave up the first basket of the game but didn't trail again controlling the pace of the game from start to finish. The Racers scored 20 or more points in three of the four quarters as they pulled away for a comfortable 23-point victory.
Alysia Lawson led all scorers with 25 points, her eighth straight 20-point outing, shooting 9-18 from the field with five rebounds and three steals. Olivia Thompson logged a season high 21 points hitting 6-14 from the field and 8-9 from the charity stripe. Alayha Allen finished with a game high eleven rebounds while Jayci Allen and Alycia Patterson both pulled down eight.
The Racers shot 44% from the field as a team and 91% from the charity strip holding to 36% shooting. UNOH also dominated in the paint grabbing 46 rebounds with 36 points in the paint to 35 and 18 in the game.
UNOH will try to set a new wins record on the road when they travel the WHAC's top team, (RV) Indiana Tech, on Wednesday, February 12.
