
Men's Golf Wins Spring Invite in Bluffton
BLUFFTON, OH - UNOH men's golf hosted their second event of the season and came away with the top spot edging out second place Tennessee Wesleyan by five strokes. The Racers also competed a B-Team that finished third of eight and a C-Team that placed seventh.
Adrian Martin highlighted the tournament for UNOH earning his first ever individual medal playing on the B-Team. Martin shot 74, 76 and 72 finishing with a 222 total. Oscar Lind tied for fourth with a 224 carding rounds of 75, 74 and 75 on the A-Team followed by three Racers tied for sixth at 225. Jose Luis Vargas and Luke Turner were two A-Team players joined by B-Team's Jaiden Pass. Vargas finished 77, 75, 73 while Luke Turner shot 81, 74 and a 2-under 70. Pass finished with a 77 and 78 ending the tournament with his own 2-under 70, a season low.
Oliver Rogers rounded out the A-Team scoring for UNOH with two rounds of 78 followed by a 1-under 71. B-Team's Luke S. Turner and C-Team's Jonathan Schlenker both earned top 15 finishes in a tie for 14th each scoring 228 for the tournament.
Zach Stechschulte and Ben Giere completed the B-Team scoring with a 237 and 244, respectively. Jordan Johnstone shot 228, Roman Leszinske and Bruno Boado tied at 224, and Carter Schimmoeller ended with a 247 for the rest of C-Team's scoring.
The 2024-25 season will conclude with the WHAC Men's Championship April 28-29 played at the Stoatin Brae Golf Club in Agusta, Michingan. The winner will earn a bid to the NAIA National Championship beginning May 20 at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Illinois.
