
Men's Golf Adds Signee to 2021 Class
The University of Northwestern Ohio Men's Golf program has announced the signing of its latest addition to the 2021-22 squad in Dronfield, England native Luke Turner. Turner will join the Racers in the fall of 2021 and has been playing golf since the age of 4. He will bring ample tournament experience with him as he has represented the Yorkshire County team multiple years starting with his first selection at the age of 8. He played on the Derbyshire Tour at the age of 10 winning 9 out of 10 events and winning the overall tour Championship. At the age of 11, he played with the under 15's and defended his Crown. He also qualified for the English Boys Finals in 2018. In 2019 he played the Nxtgen Tour playing in the finals at Lindrick Golf Club, Woodhall Spar, and tied for first at Hotchkin Course with a score of 2 over.
His Home club is Hallowes Golf Club where he plays on both the Junior and Men's First Team. While playing in two medals at Hallowes in 2020, he shot his best rounds of this year shooting 4 under and 3 under par. He finished 2020 with a handicap of 0.4 and a scoring average of 72.6.

"We are very excited to add Luke to our Men's Golf family at UNOH, he is a great student and brings with him a very steady golf swing which should translate to success both in the classroom and on the golf links" said Coach Eric West.
