Lawson Named Mercy Health Athlete of the Month

LIMA, OH - Each month, UNOH teams up with Mercy Health to award an Athlete of the Month based on their athletic and academic performance as well as being a positive representative for UNOH and UNOH Athletics. Each month's winner will be presented with a T-Shirt and a $25 gift certificate from Lock 16 Steakhouse. Nominees are presented by their respective coaches and voted on by the UNOH Athletic Training staff and Athletic Administration.

The award's January edition has been given to Alysia Lawson for her incredible month as a leader both on and off the court for the women's basketball team. Lawson averaged 24.8 points per game over six games shooting 44% from the field and 86% from the free throw line. She also added 18 rebounds, 15 steals and nine assists over the month as her team went 4-2.

Lawson is first in the WHAC and second in the country offensively this season averaging 25.8 points per game.
