Stanchev took on opponents that spanned all three NCAA divisions and the NAIA boasting a 5-0 singles record and 1-0 in his lone doubles matchup of the weekend. His impressive performance started against NCAA Division I Toledo on Friday, September 22, as he took down Matias Olivera 6-1, 7-5 before wrapping up the day with a battle against NCAA Division III Chicago (2022 Quarterfinalists) taking a 6-4, 2-6, 10-7 win over Arjun Asokumar. On Saturday, Stanchev continued his dominance putting away Jasper Schaadt of NCAA Division I Marquette with ease, 6-1, 6-2. The day ended with another comfortable victory for Stanchev as he disposed of Adam Singleton, representing NAIA No. 14 Holy Cross, 6-4, 6-1. Day three of the EVC Invite saw his only doubles match of the weekend go down to the wire but ending with a 7-5 win over Dom Spicer & Luke Laws of NCAA DII Wayne State alongside partner Malik Omarkhanov. Stanchev saw Spicer once more in a singles matchup that was also hard fought, with Stanchev squeaking out a 8-6 win to stay undefeated for the weekend.
Stanchev earned EVC Invite All-Tournament team honors to go along with his WHAC POTW Award.
