DEFIANCE, OH - In the program's first ever trip to the Defiance, UNOH volleyball held off the Yellow Jackets in five.
Defiance took the first set of the night, 25-18, but the Racers rebounded to win sets two and three 25-23 and 25-10. The Yellow Jackets forced a game five with a 25-19 win in the fourth but UNOH finished off the night with a tight 15-13 win in the final set.
Abigail Martin led the team with 16 points off 16 kills hitting .229 in the match. Gianna San Filippo finished with 15.5 points recording twelve kills with three solo blocks and one block assist.
Savanna Reed logged a double-double with 15 assists and 18 digs while Madelyn Hampton tallied 16 and eight. Bailey Gregory led the team defensively logging 25 digs and Alli Lopez recorded a career high with six service aces in the match.
With two matches left in the regular season, UNOH will travel to Siena Heights on Wednesday, November 6 before finishing at home against Indiana Tech on Friday.
